Looking west from Bloomfield Avenue, the future site of the Elks Club is in the foreground. All of the cheap houses in this run-down neighborhood are gone - replaced by commercial buildings that, in their turn, have been removed. There are also some vanished factories in the background, but the former home of the Consolidated Safety Pin Company is on the right margin.
